History of GAA in Scoil Bhríde
In the 1930's Fr. O'Farrell organised a league between all of the local schools and in 1938 the boys school won the Fr. O'Farrell Cup. In the sixties Rochfortbridge and Tyrellspass combined to make one team and won on three occasions. In the late eighties Scoil Bhríde formed their own team and went on to win the Comórtas na mBunscol final in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996 and 1997 and were finalists in 1990 and 1998.
The boys school were victorious in the 2005 final against Rosemount and again in 2007 when winning against Baylin. Scoil Bhríde participated in the Cumann na mBunscol finals in 2010 and 2011 losing to Gaelscoil an Mhuilinn and Moate NS respectively
